Weird. Kind of surreal, in fact. Joseph Stalin, Leon Trotsky, V.I. Lennon, and myriad less luminary hangers-on are best known for bringing us the Russian Revolution, the counterrevolution, relentless tormenting of the kulaks, countless purges, and showtrials. In this book however they regail us with whimsical doodles written in the margins of official documents... mostly charactures of each other. So, this band of murderers apparently comprised a cadre of closet cartoonists...okay, well I guess that's interesting, but what's it all mean? Is this a look at a supposed "human side" of these demons, maybe? No luck on that count.
