Logicomix: An Epic Search for Truth

Logicomix: An Epic Search for Truth - Annie Di Donna, Alecos Papadatos, Christos H. Papadimitriou, Apostolos Doxiadis This is a very intriguing graphic novel describing Bertrand Russell's personal history, with special emphasis on his work devising the foundational (albeit incomplete) "Principa Mathematica" published in 1911. There is plenty to dislike about Russell's personal life and his politics (e.g. whoring for robberbarons like J.P. Morgan and the Rockefeller clan), but this book stays out of all that. Typical for the genre, the book indulges on a lot of self-reference... something logicians just never seem to get enough of.
