Beautiful and fascinating computerized renderings of fractals! The text is broken up nicely into essays. The technical ones are incomprehensible to me; I didn't even try. The introductory essay (pp 1-7), which explains what fractals are, isn't too bad though. The essays at the back (e.g. "Freedom, Science, and Aesthetics" pp175-180; and "Refractions of Science into Art" pp181-187) are nontechnical and interesting.
